High school bowling: Haughton hands Airline boys first loss; Airline girls continue to roll

Haughton handed Airline its first loss in boys high school bowling action Monday at Holiday Lanes.

The Bucs defeated the Vikings 24-3. Haughton improved to 8-1. Airline dropped to 7-1.

Three Haughton bowlers had 200-plus game — Jakeb Cilluffo (225), Austin Patton (207) and Colin Gardner (201).

Cilluffo led the Bucs with a 579 series. 

Chris Kouba led Airline with a 527 series. Kaleb Vesek has the Vikings’ high game of 188. Kouba bowled a 182 and Max Mendones had a 176.

The Airline girls remained undefeated with a 25-2 victory over Byrd.

Trista Quinley led the Vikings with a 568 series including a 222 game. Paris Mendones had a 212 high game and Jayda Ellison bowled a 188.

Airline improved to 10-0.

In other boys matches, Loyola defeated Bossier 27-0 and Captain Shreve downed Parkway 22-5.

In other girls matches, Loyola defeated Parkway 18-9 and Benton defeated Bossier 16-11.

Caitlin Lawrence led Benton with 548 series and 198 high game. Michaela Celichowski had a 168 high game and Brooke Hill had a 143.

Brayden Haddock led the Parkway boys with a 437 series and 157 game. Jacob Turner and Zach Posey had high games of 155 and 154, respectively.

Bree Lewis led the Bossier girls with a 366 series and 155 game.

Aysia Evans led the Parkway girls with a  404 series and 163 game.

Moses Thomas led the Bossier boys with a 370 series and 147 game.
