High school bowling: Parkway teams remain undefeated; Airline boys and girls, Benton boys post wins


The Parkway boys and girls teams remained undefeated with a sweep of Byrd on Thursday at Holiday Lanes.

The Panthers won 26-1, and the Lady Panthers won 23-4.

The Parkway boys improved to 8-0 overall and 4-0 in District 1. The girls improved to 9-0.

In other boys matches, Airline topped Haughton 20-7, Bossier fell to Loyola College Prep 24-3 and Benton defeated Minden 22-5.

In the only other girls match, Airline downed Loyola 25-2.

Parkway’s Ladarius Williamson had the high game (256) and series (577) among all boys bowlers. Teammate Justin Shea had a 195 high game and John Ali-Cummings bowled a 185.

Nicole Taylor led the Parkway girls with a 176 high game and 500 series. Ashley Gardner had a 172 and Katie Black a 171.

Dominic Rivers led the Airline boys with a 200 high game and 495 series. Brian Fielding bowled a 195 and Tanner Talmadge a 181.

The Vikings improved to 7-1 overall and 3-1 in district.

Christian Silba paced Haughton with a 197 high game and 468 series. Johnathon Brown had a 195 and Reagan McDonald a 187.

John Norris led Benton with a 180 high game and 477 series. Caitlin Lawrence bowled a 168 and Austin Sepeda a 162.

The Tigers improved to 6-2 overall and 4-0 in District 2. They lead Loyola by a game.

Emily Taylor led Bossier with a 138 high game. Nick Thomas had a 135 and Chris Whisnant a 132.

Airline’s Trista Quinley had the high game (205) and series (527) among all girls bowlers. Teammate Bailey Russell bowled a 174 and Madison Raab a 143.

The Lady Vikings improved to 7-2.
