High school boys basketball: Airline, Bossier, Benton win

The Airline Vikings, Bossier Bearkats and Benton Tigers posted boys basketball road victories Tuesday night.

Airline downed Minden 67-61, Bossier topped Plain Dealing 54-35 and Benton defeated Lakeside 53-38. Elsewhere, Parkway suffered its first loss of the season, dropping a 53-50 decision to Booker T. Washington at BTW. Haughton fell on the road to Northwood 48-27.

At Minden, KJ Bilbo led Airline (5-2) to the victory with 22 points. Fred Lemons added 14 and Trent Ivy 11.

At Plain Dealing, Tybo Wimberly scored 15 points to lead Bossier (6-3). Antonio Davis added eight.

Deanthony Briggs and Jakelb McGee topped Plain Dealing (1-2) with 14 and 12 points, respectively.

At Lakeside, Jerriyun Lawrence and Jalen Harding paced Benton (2-4) with 10 points each. Jessie Little added nine and Cameron Robinson eight.

“We played great defense,” Benton coach Tim Cram said.

At BTW, Parkway dropped to 4-1 with the loss. The Barksdale Federal Credit Union Parkway Tournament starts Wednesday.
