Ron Dillard scored 25 points to lead the Bossier Bearkats to a 59-53 District 1-4A victory over the Northwood Falcons Tuesday night at Bossier.
Bossier improved to 15-6 overall with its fourth straight victory and 2-0 in district. Northwood dropped to 9-9 and 1-1.
In other games, Providence Classical Academy defeated Magnolia School of Excellence 76-49 at Magnolia, and Plain Dealing fell to Arcadia 62-18 at Plain Dealing.
At Bossier, the Bearkats got off to a fast start and led 14-4 after the first quarter. Dillard scored eight in the quarter.
The Falcons got going offensively in the second quarter, but Bossier continued to play well and led 29-20 at the half.
Northwood cut the lead to 42-35 after three quarters. Dillard stepped up in the fourth, hitting two 3-pointers and scoring eight points.
JD Davis and Ethan Dodson scored nine each for Bossier.
Ralph Anyanechi led Northwood with 21 points, including nine in the fourth.
Bossier continues district play Wednesday night at Southwood.
At PCA, the Knights improved to 10-14. Magnolia fell to 3-21.
