High school boys basketball: Bossier edges Mansfield, advances to Bossier Invitational semifinals

The semifinals are set in the 86th Bossier Invitational.

Ruston plays Huntington at 11 a.m. Saturday, and Bossier takes on Evan Gordon III Preparatory Academy at 12:30 p.m.

The winners face off in the championship game at 7:30. The losers play in the third-place game at 6.

In Friday’s quarterfinals, Bossier edged Mansfield 54-53, Evan Gordon III defeated Evangel Christian 74-32, Huntington defeated Airline 65-50 and Ruston defeated Xavier Academy 59-55.

Ron Dillard hit a shot with time running out to lift Bossier (11-4) to the victory.

Airline trailed Huntington 21-13 after the first quarter and 34-24 at the half. The Raiders prevented the Vikings from coming back in the second half.

Kevin White led Airline (8-7) with 17 points. Rylon Bailey and Eli Washington scored 11 each. Jusdan Gladney chipped in eight.

Antonio Dixon Jr. and Austin Turner led Huntington (8-4) with 15 and 14 points, respectively.

In a consolation game, Parkway improved to 8-5 with a 69-57 victory over Loyola.
