The Parkway Panthers and Bossier Bearkats won non-district games Friday night.
Parkway defeated Airline 70-55 at Parkway in both teams’ final regular season games.
Bossier downed Loyola 49-41 at Bossier for its 10th straight win. The Bearkats close the regular season Saturday against Calvary Baptist (25-2) at 5 p.m. at Calvary. The Cavaliers are No. 1 in the select Division III power rankings, according to GeauxPreps.com.
Benton closed its season with a 60-45 loss to Sterlington on the road.
At Parkway, the Panthers’ Caleb Evans capped a great regular season with 29 points. He sank four 3-pointers and was 12-of-14 from the free throw line.
Antonio Gladney added 13 points. KB Williams and Jacob Gaskins scored nine each. Tristan Sedberry chipped in eight.
Jaydan Gladney led Airline with 22 points. Kevin White Jr. had 19.
Evans hit two 3s and scored 15 points in the first quarter as Parkway took a 17-7 lead.
Gladney made two from behind the arc in the second. The Panthers led 29-20 at the half.
The third quarter was also about even with Parkway taking a 48-38 lead into the fourth.
Evans scored eight in the fourth and Gladney seven.
According to GeauxPreps.com, Parkway (19-11) is No. 15 in the non-select Division I power rankings. If the Panthers are No. 16 or above in the final official rankings they will host a first-round playoff game.
Airline (11-20) is No. 28 which is the cutoff to make the playoffs.
At Bossier, Kerel Dean led seven Bearkats who scored with 14 points. Jatravion Bunnery and David Thomas had eight each. Kam Davenport chipped in seven.
Thomas hit two 3-pointers in the first quarter. Dean scored six and Bossier jumped out to a 17-7 lead.
Bossier led 24-14 at the half. The Bearkats extended the lead to 38-24 after three quarters.
Bossier is No. 8 in non-select Division II and will host a first-round game.
