High school boys basketball: Parkway rolls past Arcadia; Airline falls to Parkway

The Parkway Panthers defeated Arcadia 61-36 in Tuesday night at Parkway.

The Panthers (18-11) close the regular season Friday at home against Airline.

The Vikings fell to Huntington in a non-district game Tuesday at Airline.

According to GeauxPreps.com, District 1-5A runner-up Parkway is No. 15 in the non-select Division I power ratings. The top 16 in the final official rankings host first-round playoff games.

Airline (11-17) is No. 28. That’s the cutoff to make the playoffs.

At Parkway, all 11 players listed in the scorebook scored at least two points. KB Williams led the way with 17. Caleb Evans added 12.

The Panthers led 12-11 after the first quarter then outscored the Hornets 22-10 in the second.

Kristopher Jackson led Arcadia (16-7), which is No. 5 in non-select Division IV, with 18 points.

At Airline, Huntington improved to 21-8. The Raiders are No. 10 in select Division I.
