Three Bossier Parish teams begin play in the state playoffs Friday night, and only one is at home.

In Class 3A, District 1 champion Bossier (24-7), the No. 2 seed, hosts No. 31 Green Oaks (11-18) at 7.

In Class 5A, No.17 Airline (16-9) is at No. 16 Mandeville (20-8) at 7.

In Class 1A, No. 22 Plain Dealing (4-19) travels to Jonesville to play No. 11 Block (11-13).

Bossier and Green Oaks are facing off for the third time this season. The Bearkats defeated the Giants twice in district play, 70-39 at home and 75-47 at Green Oaks.

Bossier reached the quarterfinals last season, falling to Carroll 59-56. Almost all the players from that team returned this season.

The Bearkats have played one of the state’s toughest schedule, including multiple defending state champions.

Bossier has won three state championships in the last 11 years. The Bearkats won Class 4A titles in 2011 and 2016 and a Class 3A championship in 2020.

In Class 5A, No. 17 Airline (16-9) visits No. 16 Mandeville (20-8).

The Vikings are back in the playoffs after a one-year absence.

Airline is looking for its first playoff victory in 10 years.

In Class 1A, No. 22 Plain Dealing (4-19) travels to Jonesville to play No. 11 Block (11-13).

The Lions lost to Homer 55-53 in the first round last year.
