Airline swept the District 1-5A cross country championships Thursday at the South Bossier Recreational Complex.
Airline placed three runners in the top four in the boys division. The Vikings scored 30 points to 40 for runner-up and three-time defending champion Parkway.
Airline sophomore Will Dart won the individual title after finishing runner-up as a freshman. He ran the 3-mile course in 15 minutes, 55 seconds.
Airline junior Taejon Morris was second in 16:05, one second ahead of Byrd’s Allen England. Airline sophomore Joshua Burns finished fourth in 16:09.
Other Vikings in the scoring were Xavier Wilson (11th) and Collin Morgan (12th).
Parkway runners Cole Billiot, Austin Jacobsen, Andrew Robinson, Clayton Wood and Tyler Kruithof finished sixth through 10th, respectively.
Airline scored 56 points in the girls division, defeating six-time defending champion Parkway by five points. Byrd was third with 64.
Parkway sophomore Jazz Rasouliyan won the individual title in 20:24. Airline senior Bethanie Dunn was runner-up in 20:38.
Haughton teammates Jaydn Hodge and Madison Reichard finished fourth and sixth, respectively.
Other Airline runners in the scoring were Kaylen Harris (seventh), Riley Lear (14th), Alyssa Nguyen (15th) and Hannah Evans (18th).
Other Parkway runners in the scoring were Victoria Morris (10th), Malia Morton (12th), Breanna Taylor (17th) and Katie Roman (21st).
The Region I-5A meet is Nov. 4 at the Ward 9 Recreation Complex in Pineville. The Class 5A state meet is Nov. 14 in Natchitoches.
