The Parkway Lady Panthers, Haughton Lady Bucs and Plain Dealing Lady Lions won district games Friday night.
In District 1-5A games involving parish teams, Parkway defeated Natchitoches Central 49-26 in Natchitoches, Haughton downed Byrd 52-18 at Byrd and Airline fell to Captain Shreve 55-40 at Airline.
In the other 1-5A game, Huntington defeated Evangel Christian 78-19.
In a District 1-1A opener, Plain Dealing routed Haynesville 64-14 at Plain Dealing.
In a District 1-4A opener, Bossier fell to Booker T. Washington 52-35 at BTW.
In non-district games, Benton defeated Quitman 53-37 at Benton and Providence Classical Academy defeated Calvary Baptist 66-43 at PCA.
At Natchitoches Central, Dakota Howard led Parkway with 23 points. Savannah Wilson added 12 and Jasmyne Hendrix nine.
Parkway led 10-8 after the first quarter. The Lady Panthers shut out the Lady Chiefs in the second, but they only scored four and led 14-8 at the half.
Howard scored eight in the third quarter and Parkway extended the lead to 31-19. Hendrix and Howard both scored eight in the fourth.
Akeelah Wade led Natchitoches Central (18-3, 0-2) with 11.
Parkway (19-4, 2-0) hosts Byrd Tuesday.
At Byrd, Haughton improved to 22-2 and 2-0. Byrd dropped to 3-18 and 0-2.
At Airline, Nia Williams and Ke’Zyriah Sykes led the Lady Vikings with 13 and 11 points, respectively.
Kennedi Smith and Bri Jones paced Captain Shreve (20-4, 3-9) with 12 each.
Airline (16-3, 2-1) visits Haughton Tuesday.
At Plain Dealing, Jakayla Douglas poured in 36 points to lead the Lady Lions. She had 20 in the first half.
Brianna Newton added 13 points. Janiya Douglas chipped in nine.
Plain Dealing (11-11) continues district play at home Tuesday against Glenbrook. Haynesville dropped to 2-9.
At PCA, the Lady Knights improved to 13-1. Calvary dropped to 12-4.
At BTW, Bossier fell to 7-15. BTW improved to 8-10.
