High school girls basketball: Plain Dealing, Providence Classical Academy win

The Plain Dealing Lady Lions and Providence Classical Academy Lady Knights picked up victories Thursday night.

Plain Dealing defeated St. Mary’s 48-45 at St. Mary’s. PCA defeated Weston 47-35 at PCA.

At St.,Mary’s, Jakayla Douglas scored 36 points to lead Plain Dealing (9-10). She had 17 points in the first quarter and 12 in the second.

Sanaa Lyles added six points. Ava Hebert led St. Mary’s (5-13) with 24.

At PCA, Adilynn DeLoach led the Lady Knights (16-11) with 17 points.

EllaGrace Richardson scored 12. Lauren Hillman hit a pair of 3-pointers and finished with eight points.

PCA led 17-11 at the half then put the game away with a 26-8 third-quarter run.
