High school girls basketball: Three parish teams at home, two on road as playoffs begin Thursday night

Three parish teams host first-round games while two others hit the road as the LHSAA girls basketball playoffs begin Thursday night.

Benton, Parkway and Plain Dealing are at home.

The Lady Tigers (24-5), seeded No. 2 in Class 5A, face No. 31 New Iberia. The No. 11 seed Lady Panthers (22-8) meet No. 22 Fontainebleau (21-10).

The Lady Lions (14-14), seeded 16th in Class 1-1A, play No. 17 West St. John (11-17).

All three games start at 6.

Airline (15-17), the No. 32 seed in 5A, travels to Monroe to take on No. 1 Ouachita Parish (28-6) at 5:30.

Bossier (14-12), the No. 17 seed in 3A, visits No. 16 Pine Prairie (21-11) at 6
