High school girls soccer: Airline, Parkway, Haughton, Benton post wins


The Airline Lady Vikings, Parkway Lady Panthers and Haughton Lady Bucs won district games Monday night.

Airline defeated Natchitoches Central 5-1 in a District 1-1 game in Natchitoches. Parkway and Haughton won District 1-II games. The defending champion Lady Panthers defeated Northwood 8-0 at Tinsley Park, and the Lady Bucs routed Woodlawn 11-0 at Cargill Park.

In a non-district game, the Benton Lady Tigers cruised past Ouachita Parish 8-0 at Tinsley.

Emily Francis, Lindsay Donlan, Alicia Taylor, Emily Wood and Abbie Neuman all scored goals in Airline’s win.

Addie Mosura had three assists. Caroline Olson and Rachel Cochran had one assist each.

The Lady Vikings improved to 3-5-1 overall and 1-1-1 in district.

Aubrey Burkhardt had a hat trick to lead Parkway to the victory. Madelyn Elliott had two goals and one assist. Faith Ingles scored twice and Lisette Tunek once.

Maya Cosic had two assists.

It was the district opener for the Lady Panthers, who dominated District 1-II last season. Parkway (4-4-1) continues district play against Woodlawn on Tuesday night at 6 at Cargill.

Shelby Watson and Genet Leist scored three goals each to lead Haughton. Sarah Silny had two goals and Journey Phillips 1.

Ciara White had one goal and one assist. Gracie Currence had one assist.

Haughton (6-5, 2-1) faces Bossier in a non-district game Tuesday night at 6 at Tinsley.

Hailey McGhee scored three goals for the second straight game in Benton’s victory. She also had three assists.

Georgia Carroway had one goal and one assist. Baylee Cortez, Annalee Ward and Kyla Klingensmith scored one goal apiece.

Benton (8-3-1) opens District 1-I play Tuesday night at 6 against Northwood at Cargill Park.
