High school girls soccer: Benton’s Jamie Willis named Offensive MVP on All-District 1-II team

Benton junior Jamie Willis has bee named the Offensive MVP on the All-District 1, Division II team selected by the coaches.

Willis scored 31 goals for the Lady Tigers, who finished runner-up to Caddo Magnet. Benton went 15-10-4 and advanced to the quarterfinals of the playoffs.

Willis received the honor for the second straight year.

Other Lady Tigers selected to the first team were senior defender Gracie Willis, senior defender Maliyah Antwine, junior forward Peyton (Lexy) Bouillon and sophomore wing Abigail Jacobs.

Three Haughton players made the first team — junior midfielder/forward Lowrey Lain, senior midfielder/forward Lauren Tippet and junior midfielder/defender Ambur Dement.

Benton’s second-team selections were senior goalkeeper Kennedy Nipper, senior defender Justine Watkins, senior midfielder Emerson Foster, freshman forward Lana Whiteman and senior defender Miranda Crabtree.

Haughton’s were junior midfielder/defender Dani Droddy, junior defender Averie Felicetty and junior midfielder/defender Madecyn Johnson.

Caddo Magnet sophomore Audrey Jordan was named Overall MVP. Magnet senior Abby Beasley was named Defensive MVP. Magnet’s John Lee was named Coach of the Year.

Benton’s honorable mention selections were junior Natalie Brice, freshman Grace Weiford and junior Caroline Moore.

Haughton’s were senior Elizabeth Gaspard, junior Emma Maynor and senior Cassidy Cloud.
