High school girls wrestling: Benton takes North Louisiana Regional title

Benton won the North Louisiana Regional Tournament Saturday at Bossier.

Five Tigers won titles — senior Julia Raymond (107 pounds), sophomore Allanah Gallagher (114), junior Emma Luther (126), freshman Audrina Wade (132) and sophomore Keira Losch (138).

Raymond defeated Bossier junior A’Zerriana Jones 8-3 in her title match. Gallagher pinned Parkway freshman Ava Sermon in 3:44.

Luther pinned Haughton freshman Adelynn Miles in 1:02.

In the 132-pound round robin, Wade pinned Byrd junior Jordan Laborde in :15 and Airline senior Salayia Edwards in :52.

Edwards defeated Laborde for second by a 19-4 technical fall.

Haughton senior Natalie Davis won the 120-pound round robin. She pinned Benton sophomore Caylee Brammer in 3:08 and Caddo Magnet senior Ruth Dees in :52.

Brammer pinned Dees in 1:09 for third.

Haughton freshman Destiny Lollar won the 145-pound class with a pin of Parkway junior Elena Fournier in 3:00.

Haughton freshman Shelby Moore was the 152-pound winner.

Bossier senior Jyrah Hickman won the 235-pound class.

Parkway freshman Anna Grace Snyder was runner-up in the 185-pound class.
