The Airline Vikings and Benton Tigers posted boys soccer victories Tuesday night at Tinsley Park.
Airline downed Parkway 5-1, and Benton shut out Minden 6-0.
In a girls District 1-II opener, Haughton blanked Woodlawn 8-0. In non-district girls games, Bossier fell to Southwood 4-0, and Benton topped Minden 9-1.
Gin Pau scored two goals in the Airline boys victory. He also had an assist on the Vikings’ final goal by Tung Khai.
Mason Schoth scored one goal and had an assist. Keaton Love also scored a goal.
Max Kenyan and Carter Parks scored two goals each in Benton’s victory. Dakota Howell and Cade Foster scored one each.
Sean Loftin, John Silva and Reece Brooks had one assist apiece.
Ciara White led Haughton with two goals in the victory over Woodlawn. Parker McClung, Madison Waldron, Genet Leist, Stormie Hughes, Tori Lunsford and Shelby Watson all had goals.
Hailey McGhee led the Benton girls to the victory with three goals and five assists. Jessica Venegoni, Georgia Carroway and Breanna Bundy added two each. Bundy, Lynnse Terune, Kyla Klingensmith and Aidan McGhee all had assists.
Cecilia Cruz had 14 saves in Bossier’s loss to Southwood.
The annual Airline boys tournament starts Thursday at Freedom Fields with 16 teams competing. Benton, Bossier and Parkway are competing. There is also a 10-team junior varsity tournament.
Parkway is competing in the Loyola girls tournament, which also starts Thursday. Games will be played at Messmer Stadium, Byrd and Cargill Park.
