High school soccer: (Updated) Airline boys and girls, Bossier boys post victories in tournaments


The Airline Lady Vikings won two games Saturday in the Vacanzo Classico tournament hosted by St. Frederick in Monroe.

The Lady Vikings defeated Ruston 1-0 and Ouachita 6-0 to finish 2-1 in the tournament. Their only loss was to St. Frederick 2-1 on Friday.

Lindsay Donlan scored the lone goal against Ruston on a penalty kick. Emily Wood, Alicia Taylor, Rachel Cochran, Emily Francis and Jamie Sparkman also scored goals in the tournament. Wood and Cynthia Williams had assists.

According to the Airline girls soccer Twitter account, Emily Wood and Alicia Taylor were among the goal scorers against Ouachita. Wood also had an assist.

In the boys division, Airline defeated Union Parish 3-0 and played Tioga to a scorless tie on Saturday to finish 1-1-1 in the tournament.

The Vikings scored all three goals against Union Parish in the second half.

Gin Pau scored two goals and Kham Nang one. Brandon Rayburn had an assist on Pau’s final goal.

The Bossier boys picked up a win in the North Vermilion tournament Saturday, defeating Westgate 5-3 after trailing 2-0 at the half.

Rene Alvarado scored two goals and had one assist. Hafid Algahim had one goal and one assist. Esaul Damian and Diego Lopez had one goal each. Alexis Lopez had two assists.

Bossier also tied North Vermilion 2-2. Alvarado had one goal and one assist. Algahim scored the Bearkats’ other goal.
