High school soccer: Benton girls, Bossier boys win district matches

The Benton girls and Bossier boys won district matches Tuesday night.

Benton defeated Airline 8-0 in a District 1-I match at Airline. Bossier downed Minden 4-0 in a District 1-III match at Bossier.

The Lady Tigers improved to 15-2-2 overall and 2-0 in district. Benton and Byrd (11-3-4, 3-0) are the only teams in the six-team district without a loss.

Byrd defeated Haughton 9-0 at Byrd. The Lady Bucs dropped to 6-5-3 and 1-2.

Airline dropped to 7-4 and 1-2.

Bossier improved to 12-5-1 and 1-0 in district. Minden fell to 5-6-1 and 0-2.

In a boys District 1-II match, Parkway fell to Caddo Magnet 4-0 at home. The Mustangs improved to 5-9-3 overall and 1-0 in district. Parkway dropped to 4-8-2 and 1-1.

Caddo Magnet also won the girls match 3-0. The Lady Mustangs improved to 7-3-2 and 2-0. The Lady Panthers dropped to 7-3-5 and 1-1-1.

In another girls match, Providence Classical Academy kept its unbeaten record intact with a 1-1 tie against Northwood at Northwood.

The Lady Knights are 7-0-2. The Lady Falcons are 5-8-3.

In a girls District 1-III match, Bossier fell to Minden 8-0. The Lady Tiders improved to 7-4-2 and 3-0. The Lady Kats fell to 3-11-1 and 0-1.
