High school softball: Airline falls to Class 2A No. 1 Many in regular-season finale; playoffs next

The Airline Lady Vikings fell to Many 11-6 in their final regular season game Tuesday in Many.

According to GeauxPreps, Airline (18-12) was No. 19 in the Class 5A power ratings before the game. The top 16 in the final ratings host first-round playoff games.

Wednesday is the final day of the regular season. Playoff pairings will be announced Thursday and first-round games must be played by Tuesday.

Many (23-5) was the No. 1 team in Class 2A before Tuesday’s game.

Jina Baffuto went 3-for-4 with two doubles and two RBI. Paige Marshall went 2-for-3 with two doubles.

Emily Rachal went 2-for-4. Natalie Sutton and Paris Endris hit home runs.
