The curtain came down on the high school softball season Wednesday in Bossier Parish.
Airline, the No. 19 seed, fell to No. 3 Walker 12-0 in the second round of the Class 5A playoffs at Airline.
The District 1-5A co-champion Lady Vikings finished 19-13.
Walker, which lost to Airline 3-0 in the quarterfinals last year, improved to 30-4.
Two senior Lady Vikings — Jina Baffuto and Paris Endris — haven’t played their final high school game just yet. The duo, along with Haughton’s Brooklynn Bockhaus, have been selected to play for the West squad in the Louisiana High School Coaches Association/ Louisiana Softball Coaches All-Star games May 13-14 at the Ward 10 Complex in Ball.
Baffuto and Endris are both Louisiana Tech signees. Bockhaus is headed to South Alabama.
Airline’s Brittany Smith will be the West’s head coach.
