The Airline Lady Vikings and Parkway Lady Panthers opened their seasons with victories Tuesday.
Airline defeated Northwood 12-2 in five innings at Airline, and Parkway downed North Caddo 15-5 in five innings at Parkway.
At Airline, seven Lady Vikings combined for 10 hits. Ryan Hutchinson went 2-for-3 with two triples and two RBI. Lindsey Marcinkus went 2-for-3 with two doubles and two RBI.Â
Tanesciya Thomas went 2-for-3 with a double. Haley Whiteside had a double.
Thomas pitched all five innings. She allowed five hits, struck out seven and walked three.
Airline is scheduled to visit North DeSoto Friday.
At Parkway, Madison Menard and Katie Giovengo had three hits each. Menard had two doubles.
Mikayla West went 2-for-2 with a double and four RBI. Shelby Vaughn went 2-for-2 with a double.
West struck out nine and walked two in five innings.
Parkway is scheduled to host Northwood Thursday.
