The Benton Lady Tigers won two games Friday in the Evangel Christian tournament.
Benton defeated previously unbeaten Glenbrook 11-1 and Captain Shreve 9-3.
Haughton split games in the Alexandria tournament, defeating Ouachita Parish 12-11 and falling to Pineville 16-5.
In a non-tournament game, Parkway defeated Caddo Magnet 7-3 at Caddo Magnet.
At Evangel, Olivia Livers went 2-for-4 with a double and two RBI in the five-inning game against Glenbrook. Lainey Lafitte smacked a grand slam home run with two outs in the Lady Tigers’ six-run first. Maggie Landman had a solo home run.
Bayleigh Moniz allowed two hits in 3 2/3 innings. She struck out six with no walks. Juju Vincent didn’t give up a hit in 2 1/3 innings.
Livers went 2-for-2 with a triple, double and two RBI against Captain Shreve. Lafitte went 2-for-3 with a double
Ashley Promes had a double and two RBI. Emersyn Disotell and Emma Holmes also had doubles.
Moniz struck out seven and didn’t allow a hit or walk in 3 1/3 innings.
Benton (7-1) is scheduled to visit D’Arbonne Woods Monday at 6.
At Alexandria, Haughton scored three runs in the bottom of the eighth against Ouachita Parish.
Reese Mayfield’s three-run home run with nobody out ended it.
Mayfield went 4-for-4 with two home runs, a double and six RBI. Presley Yerby went 2-for-3 with a double.
Charlee Prothro had two hits, including a double. Clara Shaffer also had two hits.
Saylor White had a double and two RBI against Pineville. Shaffer also had two RBI.
Haughton (4-7) is scheduled to play Florien Saturday at 10 a.m.
At Caddo Magnet, Mikayla West went 3-for-3 with two RBI. Macee Thompson went 2-for-4. Avery Ahlstrom had two RBI.
Thompson started and allowed one earned run in three innings. Katie Giovengo gave up two hits in four innings of relief.
Parkway (6-3) is scheduled to visit Natchitoches Central Thursday at 6.
