The Benton Lady Tigers rolled past Captain Shreve 16-1 in four innings in a District 1-5A game Tuesday at Shreve.
Elsewhere, Airline fell to Calvary Baptist 13-4 at Airline, and Haughton lost to Sterlington 9-5 in eight innings at Haughton.
At Shreve, Megan Risher went 4-for-4 with two triples and four RBI. Sophia Livers went 2-for-3 with two triples.
Meaux Carroll went 2-for-3 with a triple. Christina Gegg also went 2-for-3.
Olivia Burns had a double and three RBI. Piper Stephens had two RBI.
Burns allowed four hits and struck out four.
Benton (17-7, 4-2) is scheduled to play its final district game at Parkway at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday. If they win, the Lady Tigers will finish tied for third in the district with Haughton, one game behind co-champs Airline and Natchitoches Central.
Captain Shreve dropped to 14-11 overall and finished district play 3-4.
At Haughton, the game went into extra innings tied at 5. Sterlington scored four in the top of the eighth.
The Lady Bucs led 4-1 after four innings, but the Lady Panthers rallied to take a 5-4 lead with four in the top of the fifth. Haughton tied it on Brooklynn Bockhaus’ leadoff home run in the bottom of the inning.
Ariana Mathews went 3-for-4. Sara White hit a solo home run and drew three walks.
Laney Dobrow had a two-RBI double.
Haughton (14-12) is scheduled to host Claiborne Christian at 5:30 Thursday.
Sterlington improved to 16-9.
At Airline, the Lady Vikings dropped two 17-9. Calvary Baptist improved to 18-11.
