The Haughton Lady Bucs split a pair of games in the Calvary Baptist tournament Saturday.
The Lady Bucs defeated Hallsville, Texas, 6-4 before falling to Calvary 16-2.
Ariana Mathews went 2-for-4 with a double and two RBI against Hallsvillie.
Kayleigh Goss went 2-for-2. Kylie Small and Brooklynn Bockhaus both went 2-for-4.
Ella Vickers and Macey Schut had one double each. Sara White drew two walks and had a single.
Haughton scored all six runs in the second inning.
Dixie Williams scattered seven hits and struck out seven for the win.
White went 3-for-3, including two doubles, against Calvary. Mathews went 2-for-3.
Bockhaus hit a home run. Mathews, Averi Phillips and Schut had one double apiece.
Calvary’s Kelsey Coburn hit three home runs and had eight RBI. She also had a double. DJ Lynch went 3-for-4 with a double.
Haughton (6-7) hosts Converse Monday.
Benton lost two games in the Brusly tournament, falling to Brusly 8-7 and French Settlement 13-8.
The Lady Tigers scored a run in the top of the seventh to take a 7-5 lead against Brusly. But the Lady Panthers sent the game into extra innings with two in the bottom of the inning and won it in the eighth.
Sophia Livers went 3-for-4 with two home runs, a double and four RBI.
Piper Stephens went 2-for-4 with a triple and double.
Ava Defee struck out eight in eight innings.
Marissa Schoth went 3-for-3 with two RBI against French Settlement. Megan Risher and Kennedy LaPierre both smacked three-run home runs.
Benton fell to Central-Baton Rouge 16-6 Friday.
Livers went 2-for-4 with a double. Laci Hedgepeth had two RBI. Risher and Tayler Gonzalez had one double each.
Benton (9-5, 1-1) returns to District 1-5A play Tuesday at Natchitoches Central.
