The Haughton Lady Bucs, Parkway Lady Panthers and Plain Dealing Lady Lions won non-district games Friday.
Haughton downed Neville 12-1 at Haughton and Parkway edged Glenbrook 7-6 in Minden. Plain Dealing split games in the Caddo Magnet tournament, defeating Carroll 17-2 and falling to Magnet 17-1.
At Haughton, Brianna Benecke smacked two home runs and had four RBI in the five-inning game. Kylie Small went 3-for-3 with a double and two RBI.
Presley Yerby hit a home run and doubled. Clara Shaffer homered and had two RBI. Dixie Williams’ three-run home run ended the game in the bottom of the fifth.
Charlee Prothro allowed three hits, struck out six and walked two.
Haughton (15-13) is scheduled to visit Airline Tuesday.
At Glenbrook, Dakota Howard’s leadoff home run in the top of the seventh broke a 6-6 tie.
Madison Menard went 3-for-4 with two home runs and three RBI. Howard went 3-for-4 and also a double. Katie Giovengo had a double.
Macee Thompson gave up just one hit in 4 1/3 innings of relief.
Parkway (9-9) is scheduled to visit Castor Monday.
Plain Dealing’s Brianna Newton went 2-for-2 with two RBI against Carroll. Katie Green went 2-for-2 with a triple and four RBI. Sanaa Lyles went 2-for-4 with a home run and two RBI. Nevaeh Fisk had two RBI.
Green struck out four and walked one in the three-inning game.
Plain Dealing is scheduled to visit Haynesville Monday.
