Bossier’s Kaylyn Godfrey won the 100 and Zamarion Carter qualified for the state meet in three events in the Region I-4A meet Wednesday at Tioga High School.
Godfrey ran a 13.82, defeating runner-up Taylor Clark by .05 seconds.
Carter finished second in the 100 hurdles and third in the 300 hurdles and triple jump.
She ran a 17.33 in the 100 hurdles and a 47.32 in the 300. Iowa’s Karalee Cormier won the 100 in 17.30. West Ouachita’s Macy Hattaway took the 300 in 45.30.
Carter went 34 feet, 1 inch in the triple jump. Tioga’s Shawniya Dishmon won with a 38-0.5.
The foursome of J’Diya Morris, Unique Marston, A’Zerriana Jones and Godfrey also qualified with a third-place finish in the 4X100 relay in 49.97. Woodlawn won in 49.24.
Quinton Hodge qualified with a third-place finish in the boys 800 in 2:02.90. Leesviille’s Keeton Johnson won in 1:54.90.
Bossier finished fifth in the girls division with 40 points. West Ouachita won with 110.
The Class 4A state meet is May 10 at LSU.
