Parkway finished runner-up in the boys and girls divisions in the Don Millen Bearkat Relays Thursday at Tiger Stadium.
Parkway scored 111 points in the boys division and 94.5 in the girls. Alexandria swept the titles with 157 points in the boys division and 178 in the girls.
Haughton finished third in the boys division with 81. North DeSoto was third in the girls division with 84. Haughton was fourth with 58.5.
Boys
Haughton’s John Hudson Brown and Joseph Encinas were double winners.
Brown won the 100 and 200.
He took the 100 in 11.24 seconds, .24 seconds faster than runner-up Jordan Johnson of Alexandria. Brown ran a 21.90 in the 200. Calvary Baptist’s Kolby Thomas was second in 22.31.
Encinas swept the hurdles. He ran a 16.07 in the 110 and 39.90 in the 300. Alexandria’s Demarion Robinson was second in the 110 in 16.68. Northwood’s Keyiun Taylor was second in the 300 in 40.28.
Parkway’s Brennan Robin and Raymond Gomez finished 1-2 in the 800. Robin ran a 1:57.70 and Gomez a 2:01.26.
Parkway’s Aiden O’Nishea and Andrew Kent finished 1-2 in the 3,200. O’Nishea ran a 9:55.67 and Kent a 9:57.46.
Parkway’s Jeremiah Robinson win the 400 in 51.20. Calvary Baptist’s Tsehaye Knight was second in 52.88.
Airline’s Austin Bonney took the 1,600 in 4:49.16. Caddo Magnet’s Jack Pattillo finished second in 4:49.58.
The Haughton foursome of Encinas, Devin Chaney, Giovanni Musgrove and Michael Loller won the 4X400 relay in 3:31.78. Alexandria was second in 3:32.09.
The Haughton foursome of Kyron Turner, Jay’Lon Abney, Loller and Londell Hogan was second in the 4X200 in 1:32.22. Northwood won in 1:30.17.
Parkway won the 4X800 relay in 8:18. Alexandria finished second in 8:24.
Airline’s Eli Dollar won the javelin with a throw of 133 feet, 9 inches.
Parkway’s Devon Oliver finished second in the shot put and discus. He threw 47-9.5 in the shot put and 168-1 in the discus. Alexandria freshman Joseph Carter Rivet won the shot put with a 57-11 and the discus with a 182-0.
Haughton’s Kyron Turner and North DeSoto’s Javonte Taylor both cleared 6-6 in the high jump. Taylor took first on fewer misses.
Haughton’s Ryan Lewis was second in the pole vault with a 10-6. North DeSoto’s Landon Foust won with an 11-0.
Girls
Parkway’s Ember Pierce won the 1,600 and 3,200. She ran a 5:54.59 in the 1,600 and a 13:37.09 in the 3,200. North DeSoto’s Katelyn Allen finished second in the 1,600 in 5:46.81 and 3,200 in 12:51.84.
Bossier’s Zamarion Carter won the 300 hurdles in 48.76. Haughton’s Kinsley Brotherton was second in 49.41. Carter also finished third in the 100 hurdles.
Parkway’s Lauren Taylor finished second in the 800 in 2:30.62. Alexandria’s Addyson Riley won in 2:29.72.
Haughton’s Julianna Boyett took the pole vault with an 9-0. North Desoto’s Macy Wiley was second with a 7-6.
Parkway’s Zaniyah Carter won the shot put with a 39-1. Alexandria’s Alyssa Skipper was second with a 37-5. Carter also finished third in the discus.
Parkway’s London Farhood was second in the high jump with a 4-10. Haughton’s Keda Holland also cleared 4-10. Alexandria’s Chaselyn Guillory won with a 5-0.
The Haughton foursome of Lanndry Culver, Ashlyn Wilkerson, Clara Hicks and Alyssa Giddings was second in the 4X800 relay in 10:56. Alexandria won in 10:13.
Other third-place finishes from parish schools in individual events were Parkway’s Zara Baker-Scanlon (400), Haughton’s Hicks (3,200), Bossier’s J’Diya Morris (300 hurdles), Parkway’s Caitlynn Johnson (triple jump), Haughton’s Madelyn Butler (pole vault), Haughton’s Brooke Caporossi (javelin) and Plain Dealing’s Brianna Newton (shot put).
