The Airline Lady Vikings and Haughton Lady Bucs won District 1, Division I volleyball games Tuesday night.
Airline defeated Booker T. Washington 25-8, 25-7, 25-15 at Airline. Haughton downed Caddo Magnet 25-8, 25-10, 25-20 at Haughton.
Airline (12-6, 8-1) remained tied for first in the district with defending champion Ruston (15-6, 8-1). The Lady Bearcats avenged their only district loss Tuesday, defeating Captain Shreve in straight sets.
Ashley Haigler had seven aces, one kill, 13 assists and one dig in Airline’s victory. Haylea Patterson had nine aces, five kills and three digs. Lauren Pilcher had six aces, three kills, three blocks and one dig.
Airline visits Northwood Thursday.
Haughton improved to 9-4 overall and 5-4 in district. According to MaxPreps, Laurel Emmanuel was named Player of the Match against Caddo Magnet.
The Lady Bucs host Evangel Christian Academy on Wednesday and Byrd on Thursday.
