Hobby Lobby Stores, Inc., will officially open its Bossier City location with a ribbon cutting ceremony Monday, Oct. 19, at 9 a.m.

The grand opening ceremony is open to the public. Local dignitaries from the Bossier Chamber of Commerce and other business leaders will attend the celebration.

Jackson Anderson is the store manager of the 57,000 square-foot building, located at 1051 George Dement Blvd. The Bossier City store is part of the Kroger Marketplace development on the corner of George Dement Blvd. and Airline Dr.

Hobby Lobby has over 650 stores across the nation that average 55,000 square feet in size. The Bossier City store is Hobby Lobby’s 14th store in the state of Louisiana.

This major Oklahoma City-based private corporation offers more than 70,000 crafting and home decor products in its stores. Departments include floral, fabric, needle art, custom framing, baskets, home accents, wearable art, arts and crafts, jewelry making, scrapbooking and papercrafting supplies. Store hours are Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. All Hobby Lobby stores are closed on Sunday.
