The cherished Holy Angels Christmas Pageant made a heartwarming return to Shreveport on Thursday, Dec. 12, 2024, spreading festive cheer and fostering a sense of community togetherness. Held on Holy Angels’ campus at 10450 Ellerbe Road, the beloved event captured the magic of the holiday season through uplifting performances and celebrations by Holy Angels residents.
The pageant featured more than 150 residents and day program clients showcasing their talents in a joyful display of carols and pageantry. The highlight of the event was the living nativity, a touching reenactment that brought the Christmas story to life and exemplified the true spirit of the season.
Holy Angels staff and performers were thrilled to share their love and holiday cheer with attendees.
After the pageant, attendees had the opportunity to visit the Angel Works Gift Shop. In the spirit of the season, the shop offered a 20% discount on all items except culinary products. Featuring an array of handcrafted goods made by Holy Angels residents, the gift shop was an ideal destination for unique and meaningful holiday gifts.
Holy Angels is a cornerstone of the Shreveport community, dedicated to empowering individuals with developmental delays and learning disabilities. Through programs like job training, day activities, residential services, and its Community School for individuals ages 2 through 21, Holy Angels provides essential support and opportunities for growth.
The Christmas pageant is not only a celebration of the holiday season but also a showcase of the accomplishments and talents of Holy Angels residents. Families, staff, and the community came together to honor the spirit of inclusion and the joy that the residents bring to Shreveport.
