Horace Robinson


HAUGHTON – Services for Horace Robinson will be 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, October 2, 2013 at Rose-Neath’s Bossier Chapel. Officiating will be Chaplain Keith Rowe. Interment will follow at Rose-Neath Cemetery with Army honors. Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, October 1, 2013 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, Bossier City, LA.

Horace was born October 2, 1941 in Yazoo City, MS to Willie and Stella Glass Robinson and died September 30, 2013 in Haughton, LA. He served his country in the U.S. Army and retired as an electrician from the VA Medical Center in Shreveport, LA. Horace was a member of the Northwest LA Racing Pigeon Club and IBEW Union #194.

Horace is preceded in death by his parents and mother-in-law and father-in-law, Aubrey and Bernice Summers.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Linda Robinson; sons, Mark Robinson and wife Melanie, Tommy Robinson and wife Amy; daughter, Connie Gilbert and husband Clark; grandchildren, Blaine Gilbert, Madison and Morgan Robinson, Kendall and Tristan Robinson; brothers, Leslie, Gerald and Wayne Robinson and many nieces, nephews, cousins and numerous friends.

Honoring Horace as pallbearers will be Bruce Robinson, Glyn Cox, Dr. Kevin Martello, Dr. Tom Rodsuwan, James Behan and Nick Ferlito, Jr.
