I would like to express my joy and appreciation to all that supported my run for State Representative, District 9. I pledge to represent all of our constituents to the best of my ability and will always vote for Bossier City/Bossier Parish interests above all others. I will vote with the people that elected me, first and foremost. I would like to thank Rep. Henry Burns for his years of mentorship and his active inclusion of me into the legislative process. For this reason, I am truly “Job Ready.” I am grateful to have served with Henry Burns, for he always has a positive attitude and a passion to serve his constituents. These last eight years have been a ministry of caring and love for both the people of District 9 and the entire State of Louisiana.

I, like many of you, have been disheartened with the negative campaigning. The distortions, fabrications and mistruths that have been directed at my mentor Henry Burns (and his run for the Senate District 36 seat) have been troubling to all who know him. Now, none of us are perfect (including me), but I do not even recognize their characterization of Rep. Burns. He does have one weakness, he likes everyone, even those who are portraying him in an unfavorable light. Henry is truly an amazing person and he possesses the true Spirit of Forgiveness. He has been recognized by every imaginable group in: education, business, veterans affairs, pro-life, the oil and gas industry, healthcare and the list goes on and on. Henry refuses to “toot his own horn” because his job is not finished.

Henry Burns is well known and loved by many. He has a fondness for the four parishes that comprise State Senate District 36 (and it’s citizens). He has an unselfish desire to be their Senator. Now, Henry and I do not agree on everything, but we both love God, we are pro-life, we support the Second Amendment and we are also pro-business. We also have a keen eye on our infrastructure needs and we believe in budget reform. We are against Common Core and also the excessive testing of our children. We are both very passionate about serving. Believe you me, after eight years of working with Henry, he is one of the most genuine people that I know (only Lynette, his loving wife of 43 years would know if he is not genuine). Plus, we will make a great team for the citizens of House District 9 and Senate District 36.

Again, I thank you for believing in me and giving me the opportunity to serve you, both here at home and in Baton Rouge. May God bless you all!
