WASHINGTON – House Republicans have unanimously re-elected Speaker Mike Johnson as the 56th Speaker of the House, ensuring his continued leadership for the 119th Congress. The decision reflects the conference’s unified stance as they prepare to tackle key legislative priorities.
“We are unified and energized and ready to go,” said Speaker Johnson. “We have to deliver for the American people beginning on day one in the new Congress, and we will be ready for that.”

In addition to re-electing Speaker Johnson, House Republicans elected the following leadership team:
- Rep. Steve Scalise as Majority Leader
- Rep. Tom Emmer as Majority Whip
- Rep. Lisa McClain as Conference Chairwoman
- Rep. Richard Hudson as NRCC Chairman
- Rep. Blake Moore as Conference Vice Chairman
- Rep. Kevin Hern as Conference Policy Chair
- Rep. Erin Houchin as Conference Secretary
