Bossier Sheriff’s Office detectives arrested a live-in Bossier couple late last week for supplying and possessing a firearm with a convicted felon, along with various drug charges.
Eugene L. Archard, 31, and Stevie R. Atkinson, 28, of the 5100 block of Timothy Trail in the Haymeadow subdivision in Bossier City, were arrested June 16 following a search warrant of their residence. Archard is a convicted felon; Atkinson supplied Archard, her live-in boyfriend of six years, with a firearm, and detectives also found various drugs at the residence.
Bossier detectives were conducting a search warrant of the residence along with Shreveport Police Department detectives and officers, in connection with a reported residential burglary in which the couple was believed to be involved in Shreveport.
Inside the residence at Haymeadow, Bossier detectives found a fully loaded semi-automatic handgun, 12 individually packaged rocks that field-tested positive for crack cocaine, 19 Alprazolam pills and 18 Clonazepam pills (all without legal prescriptions), and loose marijuana.
Archard was charged with convicted felon in possession of a firearm, possession of a firearm with a Controlled Dangerous Substance, possession of Schedule II (crack cocaine) with intent to distribute, possession of Schedule IV (Xanax), possession of Schedule I (marijuana) – 3rd, and felony theft. His bond is set at $48,000.
Atkinson was charged with supplying a convicted felon with a firearm, supplying a convicted felon with ammunition, possession of a firearm with a Controlled Dangerous Substance, possession of Schedule IV (Xanax) and possession of Schedule I (marijuana). Her bond is set at $30,500.
The couple remains incarcerated at the Bossier Maximum Security Facility in Plain Dealing.
