BOSSIER CITY – Services for James Alfred Davis Sr., 74, will be held on Sunday, January 26, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. at Hill Crest Memorial Chapel with Pastor Alan Bute officiating. Interment will follow in Hill Crest Memorial Park. The family will be receiving visitors from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 25, 2014 at Hill Crest Funeral Home.
James was born in Athens, Louisiana on December 20, 1939 and passed away on January 21, 2014 in Bossier City Louisiana. He was a great father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He will be missed by all who knew him. He was a faithful member of the Koala Club of Bossier City.
James was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred Rhett Davis and Nobie Jane Anderson Davis. He leaves behind sons, James A. Davis Jr., Donald Davis and wife Tillie, Jeffrey Davis; daughters, Nobie Roberts and husband Randal, Theresa Sullivan, Lisa Windham and husband Thomas; and the love of his life Della Davis Holley. He also leaves behind seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Honoring James as pallbearers will be, Robert Bass Jr., Kenny Rankin, Thomas Windham, Ronald Harvill Jr., James Word and Jeremy Snider.
