PLAIN DEALING – Funeral services for Mrs. Jimmie Gray Rhodes, age 75, will be held Thursday, July 11, 2013 at 10:00 AM in Oak Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Kevin Hathorn and Dr. Steve Pettey officiating. Interment will follow in Plain Dealing Cemetery under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home, Plain Dealing, LA.

Visitation will begin Wednesday, July 10, 2013 at 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.

Mrs. Rhodes was born July 15, 1937 in Crossett, AR to James Edward and Macel Lea Coulter Gray and passed away July 8, 2013 in Bossier City, LA. She was a lifelong resident of Plain Dealing and a faithful member of Oak Hill Baptist Church. Mrs. Rhodes was a dispatcher for the Shreveport Police Department for six years and the Bossier Parish 911 for ten years. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

She is survived by her husband of 36 years, Donald E. Rhodes of Plain Dealing, LA; sons, Michael Lee Endsley and wife, Clara of Virginia Beach, VA, Dennis Eugene Endsley and wife, Jincy of Shreveport, LA; step-son, Michael Wayne Rhodes of N. Little Rock, AR; step-daughters, Diana Barr of Benton, Janice Rhodes, Shirley Holt and husband, Will, all of Benton, AR; thirteen grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; sister, Linda G. Stanford and husband, Richard of Plain Dealing, LA; brothers, Charles T. Gray and wife, Jan of Shreveport, LA, Horace E. Gray and wife, Jeannette of Plain Dealing, LA, James D. Gray and wife, Cheryl of Blanchard, LA and a host of nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Rhodes was preceded in death by her parents; her step-son, Don Rhodes, Jr. and brothers, Billy D. Gray and Bobby G. Gray.

Serving as pallbearers will be Dennis Endsley, Jr., Tim Gray, Scott Gray, Jeff Gray, Chris Stanford and Jim Stanford.
