Jimmy Lee Johnson of Haughton, LA passed away Thursday, May 29, 2014 at the age of 66. He was born to the late Leonard and Dorothy Johnson on January 27, 1948 in Holly Creek, Oklahoma. He moved to Haughton, LA with his parents and his sisters and brothers in 1963. He was preceded in death not only by his parents Leonard and Dorothy Johnson but by his brother Oscar Johnson. He was married to Linda Benson Johnson in 1972 and became the instant father of two little girls. Linda and Jimmy had one son together in 1974. Jimmy is survived by the two little girls he raised, Kelly Alton and husband Warren of Alabama, Rhonda Dick and husband Rodney of Bossier City, LA; and his only son, Paul Leroy Johnson and wife Brandy of Chelsea, AL. He is also survived by six grandchildren, Brandon Riley, Kayla Riley, Jordan Dick, Chase Johnson, Courtney Dick and Cailey Johnson, one great grandson, Jax Riley. He leaves behind six sisters and brothers Wanda Wright; Tommy Johnson; Kenneth Johnson Wilma Green; Wykeithia Choat; and Leonard Ray Johnson along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held at Pease Chapel Cemetery in Haughton, LA on Saturday, June 7, 2014 at 11 am. Even though he is no longer with us in body, his memories and spirit will live on through all the lives he has touched. Dad may you rest in peace knowing you are loved and missed every day.
