Jindal appoints Montgomery to Levee Board

BATON ROUGE – Gov. Bobby Jindal announced the appointment of  Mike Montgomery to the Bossier Levee District Board of Commissioners.

The Bossier Levee District Board of Commissioners is responsible for maintaining the integrity of the levees and maintaining the levee drainage system within Bossier Parish.

According to statute, the board is comprised of nine gubernatorial appointments, including four members from Ward 2 of Bossier Parish, four members from Wards 1 and 4 of Bossier Parish and one at-large member from any ward within the parish.

Montgomery, of Bossier City, is the owner and operator of Sligo Road Circle M Ranch, L.L.C. Montgomery is also a Captain in the Bossier City Fire Department. Montgomery will be appointed to serve as a representative of Ward 4, as required by statute.
