JLSB to host 5K, family fun run April 23

The Junior League of Shreveport-Bossier, Inc. (JLSB), in conjunction with Sportspectrum, will host their annual run for a cause 5K and family fun run at the Stoner Boat Launch on Thursday, April 23.

The Glow in the Dark 5k and ½ mile family fun run is an evening race that will begin and end at the Stoner Boat Launch.  Attendees are encouraged to wear bright, fun, and/or funky clothing and can look forward to complimentary glow accessories for the run.  There will be snacks, drinks, and activities for the kids from 6:30-7:45. All event proceeds help fund JLSB projects and initiatives.JLSB

$15/ages 5 to 18
FREE (under age 5)

Ages and Awards:
12 & under, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50+
The overall female and male winners will receive trophies, and the winner in each age division will receive a medal.

Online registration closes April 21st at 7:00 a.m.
Last-minute registration and packet-pick up April 23rd from 6:30 p.m. – 7:45 p.m.

Tuesday, April 21st from 12:00 p.m. – 6:30 p.m., Wednesday, April 22nd from 10:00 a.m.-6:30 p.m.

The mission of the Junior League of Shreveport-Bossier, Inc. is to promote voluntarism, develop the potential of women and improve communities through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers.  Its purpose is exclusively educational and charitable.  The Junior League of Shreveport-Bossier is currently celebrating 83 years of service to this community.  The Junior League of Shreveport-Bossier, Inc. reaches out to women of all races, religions, and national origins who demonstrate an interest in and commitment to voluntarism.
