BOSSIER CITY – Joan S. Maciver, 82, passed away at her home in Bossier City on July 27, 2013.
Born March 4, 1931 in the Isle of Harris Scotland, she is survived by her husband of fifty-four years, MSgt (Ret) Gordon L. Maciver, son Neil Maciver, daughter Christine Maciver Graessle and her husband, Steve, daughter Mary Kay Maciver Tellez, daughter Moira Maciver and grandchildren Gage, Kelsey, and Emalyn. Mrs. Maciver is also survived by her sister Mary Macdonald of Isle of Harris, Scotland.
A resident of Bossier City for forty years, Mrs. Maciver worked as a Registered Nurse in the Intensive Care Unit at Bossier Medical Center for seventeen years and was a loyal volunteer at Grace Home.
Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 31, 2013, at Trinity Presbyterian Church, 1944 Airline Dr. in Bossier City, with Reverend Dan Hignight officiating. A Christian burial will follow at Hill Crest Memorial Park in Haughton.
