BOSSIER CITY – Services for John L. Grimshaw, 75, will be held on Thursday, August 22, 2013 at Hill Crest Memorial Chapel at 10:00 a.m. with Reverend H.L. Kendrick officiating. Interment will follow in Hill Crest Memorial Park. The family will receive visitors from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 21, 2013 at Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home.
John was born on November 7, 1937 to the parents of Columbus Kelly Grimshaw and Wilma Myrtis Myers Grimshaw in Winnsboro, Louisiana. He passed from the arms of his devoted daughter to the loving arms of his Heavenly Father on August 19, 2013 in Bossier City Louisiana. John was a retired U.S. Letter Carrier.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his loving wife of 43 years, Patricia “Pat” Grimshaw; a grandson, John Patrick Grimshaw; two sisters, Mary Jo Grimshaw Blake and Joyce Armatha Grimshaw Parker.
Survivors include his daughter, Shaun Cherie Grimshaw: two sisters Lou Grimshaw Howell and Betty Jane Grimshaw Milby and a brother James Kelly Grimshaw.
Honoring John as pallbearers will be: Pete Butcher, Seth Butcher, Doug Efferson, John Walker, Robert Parker, Kelly Parker, and Aubrey Greer.
