John Roger Adams

BOSSIER CITY – Services for John Roger Adams, 57, will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday, December 21, 2013 at Kings Highway Christian Church, Shreveport, LA. Officiating will be Rev. David Brice, pastor of the church. Interment will follow at Keatchie Cemetery, Keatchie, LA. Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, December 20, 2013 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Bossier City.

Roger was born to Tyler Eugene and Ann Elizabeth Lafitte Adams August 29, 1956 in Shreveport and died December 18, 2013 in Bossier City. He was an independent petroleum landman. Roger was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He loved family, camping and spending vacations at the beach.

Roger was a longtime and beloved member of Kings Highway Christian Church. He served the church in countless ways over many years. He served as a deacon, an elder, and he led the church’s stewardship and evangelism ministries. He also served as the chairman of the church board. For many years Roger showed great compassion and love as he regularly visited the church’s hospitalized and homebound members.

Roger is preceded in death by his parents; sister-in-law, Bertrand Adams and father-in-law, J.D. Wade.

He is survived by his wife, Brenda Wade Adams of Bossier City; son, Lee Roger Adams of Bossier City; daughter, Kari Lynn Haydel and husband Bret of McKinney, TX; sister, Nancy Adams Williams and husband Ray of Ethel, LA; brother, Tyler Eugene Adams, Jr. of Shreveport; granddaughters, Peyton Avery Haydel and Crosby Bren Haydel of McKinney, TX and numerous nieces and nephews.

Honoring him as pallbearers will be Randy Rogers, Steve Allen, Bret Haydel, Trey Adams, Jeff Williams, Autie Orjias, Gill Wisby and Buddy Hearn. Honorary pallbearers will be elders of Kings Highway Christian Church.

The family suggests memorials to Kings Highway Christian Church.
