Johnson: Chamber to salute local healthcare professionals

With more than five leading healthcare entities in the area, Bossier-Shreveport prides itself on providing the community and region with the highest quality of care. The healthcare industry is an integral part of the community and is a strong economic engine for our region. We are home to major medical hubs, public, private and nonprofit hospitals, a network of clinics and medical/research institutions offering cutting edge treatments for our four-state region.

Couple this strong medical industry with a robust education pipeline for medical careers, including LSU Health Shreveport medical school, and you have an industry that continues to thrive as one of our top economic drivers.

This stable and thriving healthcare system in our region provides the foundation for a healthy community. And, it is an industry to be celebrated.

Each year, the Bossier Chamber of Commerce seeks to recognize the accomplishments within our medical community at our third annual Salute to Healthcare Awards, highlighting outstanding work from individuals, institutions, professionals, students and volunteers who have made an extraordinary impact in the Bossier-Shreveport regional healthcare community.
