The Bossier Chamber of Commerce continued its Public Policy Series Tuesday, Sept. 1, with Bossier Parish Judge Michael Nerren speaking to local business and community leaders about the parish court system and its role in the community.
The luncheon, held at Ralph & Kacoo’s in Bossier City, gave attendees an opportunity to learn more about the structure of the Bossier Parish court system and gain insight into the work of the judiciary.
Nerren discussed recent developments affecting the courts and provided an overview of how the judicial system operates within Bossier Parish.
The discussion also focused on the relationship between an efficient judicial system and the local business community. A stable and effective court system can have an impact on business operations, community growth and economic development.
The Public Policy Series is part of the Bossier Chamber of Commerce’s efforts to connect business leaders with public officials and community leaders while providing information about issues that affect Bossier Parish.
Nerren’s presentation gave those attending the luncheon an opportunity to better understand the local court system and the role it plays in supporting the community and its continued growth.
