BOSSIER CITY – Karyl Ann Cox, born January 2, 1988, in Springfield, IL, died in her home on Mother’s Day, May 11, 2014, as a result of gunshot wounds.
Karyl Ann was on the swim team in high school. While growing up she enjoyed water skiing, horseback riding, and racing dragsters. She had a very strong work ethic and a sweetness that she rarely showed. Her bold personality is what won so many of us over. She could always make others smile whether it be by making a kind gesture or telling a sarcastic joke.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Sally & Richard Weber; her grandfather, Joe Kelly; her great grandfather, Frances Weber; and also her great grandmother, Bessie “Gran” Parsons.
Karyl Ann is survived by her mother and step father, Kay & Mike Peterson; her sister, Kasey Cox; two brothers, Nicholas and Joshua Cox; her daughter, Khloe Torres; Khloe’s father, Neiko Torres; her Aunt Kim (Doug) Richter and her Uncle J Weber, as well as several cousins.
Karyl devoted her life to her beautiful daughter. She was the best mother possible to her “mini me”, Khloe Raelynn.
Our hearts are broken, but we will forever remember Karyl Ann with those beautiful blue eyes and saucy personality.
