Centenary College has announced the appointment of Katharyn DeVille as its senior director of marketing and communication, effective February 1, 2025. DeVille will oversee the college’s internal and external communications, media relations, marketing, and branding efforts, leading initiatives to enhance Centenary’s visibility and engagement.
DeVille brings a wealth of experience in television, digital news, and marketing across Louisiana and Texas. Her career began with an internship at KSLA News 12 in Shreveport while she was still a student. She quickly advanced, becoming an executive producer at WGNO New Orleans before moving to Dallas, where she produced newscasts for WFAA, a top-ten market station.
In addition to her work in broadcast journalism, DeVille has held corporate leadership roles in media and marketing. As a regional marketing director for Raycom Media, she collaborated with dozens of TV stations to expand their audience reach across various platforms. She later served as Vice President of Marketing at Visit Shreveport-Bossier, where she played a pivotal role in developing and launching a new brand and destination master plan while also growing the organization’s digital and social media presence.
With her extensive background and expertise, DeVille is expected to bring strategic leadership to Centenary’s marketing and communication efforts, further strengthening the college’s brand, outreach, and engagement with students, faculty, and the broader community.
