BOSSIER CITY – Services for Katie W. McKeithen, 92, will be 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, October 8, 2013 at Rose-Neath’s Bossier Chapel. Officiating will be Rev. Jonathan Greer. Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. at Delhi Masonic Cemetery in Delhi, LA. Visitation will be 5 until 7 p.m. Monday, October 7, 2013 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Bossier City, LA.
Mrs. McKeithen was born January 2, 1921 to James Richard Wyatt and Tinnie Pearl Jones Wyatt in Meridan, MS and died October 4, 2013 in Shreveport, LA. She was a member of First Baptist Bossier. She loved gardening, cooking, canning and shopping.
Mrs. McKeithen is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Ethel Otwell; son, James O. McKeithen; daughter, Linda Fae Jimes and grandson, James O. McKeithen Jr.
She is survived by her son, Jerry L. McKeithen and wife Linda; daughter, Jessie Sullivan; son-in-law, Dennis Jimes; daughter-in-law, Shirley McKeithen and sister, Margie McKeithen. Survivors also include her grandchildren, Judy, Pam, Debbie, Tracy, Dwayne and Cathy; great grandchildren, Larry, Katie, Melissa, Kimberly, Brandi, Tracey, Cathy, Chelsie, Angel, Sheena and Bubba and great great grandchildren, Kenlie, Liam, Toney, Miriah, Halie, Garrett, Lee, Michael, Samantha; numerous nieces and nephews and many many loving friends.
Honoring her as pallbearers will be Tommy McKeithen, Dennis Jimes, Toby Lovell, Ronnie Jimes, Dwayne Jimes and Danny Coleman.
The family would like to thank her aide and friend Sharie, the staff at Grace Home and Dr. Carter Boyd and his staff for the care they gave.
