The Krewe of Gemini invites the public to experience the excitement of Mardi Gras with two major
events—their Float Loading Party on Friday, February 28, 2025, and the Gemini XXXVI Parade
on Saturday, March 1, 2025.
The Krewe of Gemini Float Loading Party held Friday, February 28, 2025 at the Krewe of
Gemini Den (2101 E. Texas St., Bossier City) is a rare opportunity for the public to get up close with
the floats before they roll. Gates open at 5:00 PM, and guests can meet krewe members, collect
custom polystones and specialty throws, and enjoy a $15 bottomless beer cup from Thrifty Liquor or
cash bar, food trucks and local vendors.
This will be followed by the Gemini XXXVI Parade on Saturday, March 1, 2025, at 3:30 PM.
This year’s theme, “Dreamcatcher,” will bring a spectacular display of creativity to the streets of
Shreveport-Bossier. Parade attendees can marvel at floats depicting the things we dreamed of being
as children, such as astronauts, fighter pilots, superheros, and more as well as spot the Captain, King,
Queen, and Dukes and Duchesses in their full tableau attire as they roll down the route.
The Krewe of Gemini Parade is the grand finale of the Arl-La-Tex Mardi Gras season, bringing
the community together for an unforgettable celebration. The party offers a behind-the-scenes
experience, while the parade showcases elaborate floats, lively music, and thousands of throws.
