The Krewe of Gemini officially kicked off its 37th season Saturday night
with the grand reveal of this year’s theme: “The Greatest Show.” The announcement took place
at the Krewe’s annual Theme Announcement Party, held at the Gemini Den in Bossier City,
where members gathered to celebrate the start of another unforgettable season.
This year’s theme, “The Greatest Show,” is a vibrant tribute to some of the most iconic festivals,
cultural celebrations, and global spectacles from around the world. Each parade float will
spotlight a unique event known for its pageantry, energy, and international flair—bringing a
world tour of traditions to the streets of Shreveport-Bossier.
Float themes for Gemini XXXVII: The Greatest Show will include floats featuring Oktoberfest,
St Patrick’s Day, Day of the Dead, Running of the Bulls, Olympics, and more.
In keeping with tradition, each of the Krewe’s signature events throughout the season—including
Coronation, Fall Flambeaux, the annual Golf Tournament, and the Grand Bal—will creatively
interpret “The Greatest Show” in unique and spectacular ways.
As the first parading Mardi Gras krewe in North Louisiana, the Krewe of Gemini continues to
lead the Ark-La-Tex’s Mardi Gras celebrations with imaginative themes, dazzling floats, and a
deep commitment to community tradition.
