LANE CLOSURES: Jimmie Davis Bridge project, Caddo & Bossier Parishes

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that the following lane closures have been scheduled to in relation to the upcoming Jimmie Davis Bridge (LA 511) project over the Red River in Caddo & Bossier Parishes.

Friday, May 24, 2024: Southbound outside lane of Clyde Fant Parkway in Shreveport at the Jimmie Davis Bridge overpass will be closed. This lane closure is necessary to allow for the installation of temporary concrete barriers on the outside shoulder in preparation for construction of the new bridge. This lane closure is scheduled to take place from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and is anticipated to last one day.

Monday, May 27, 2024: Southbound outside lane of Arthur Ray Teague in Bossier City will be closed from the Brookshire Grocery Arena to the Jimmie Davis Bridge overpass. This lane closure is necessary to allow for the removal of guardrail, clearing and grubbing, and embankment operations for the new bridge. This lane closure is scheduled to remain in place until Saturday, June 8, 2024.
